Pelvic Floor Therapy
Pelvic Floor Dysfunction and Urinary Incontinence Treatment
We provide a unique and positive environment to encourage patients to successfully complete a pelvic health rehabilitation program. Pelvic health physiotherapy (also called pelvic floor physiotherapy or pelvic physiotherapy) is the assessment and treatment of various conditions that involve the pelvic floor or symptoms that manifest in this area. The pelvic floor includes muscles, ligaments, nerves and connective tissue. It plays an important role in the body by providing support for the bladder, genitals, uterus and anus. The various modes of pelvic floor treatment including Biofeedback with electrical muscle stimulation coupled with excellence in clinician care provides the framework for successful outcomes.
Pre & Post Natal Therapy
Many musculoskeletal disorders originate with changes in the female body related to pregnancy. Pre and post-natal physiotherapy is delivered by physiotherapists trained in women’s health issues related to low back pain, sacro-iliac and pelvic pain, diastasis rectus abdominis and symphysis pubis. Treatment may include manual therapy, soft tissue release, postural education, strengthening, stretching and bracing.
Most men and women with pelvic health issues suffer silently due to lack of appropriate and timely treatment or reluctance to discuss their problems with health care providers. Timely physiotherapy can significantly improve our patient’s symptoms, their quality of life and avert possible surgery.
We are strongly committed to our patients and believe in a team approach to provide quality care to our patients. We look forward to working with you in the future.
